Análisis de un modelo teórico para evaluar la cultura de innovación

OBJETIVO: Analizar la correlación entre los factores que integran un modelo teórico propuesto para evaluar la cultura de innovación en pequeñas empresas. Los factores del modelo fueron: rasgos culturales, capacidades de liderazgo, capacidades organizacionales y gestión de innovación.
MATERIAL Y MÉTODO: Mediante un enfoque cuantitativo de alcance correlacional, se diseñó un instrumento, se hicieron pruebas de consistencia y validez para determinar un cuestionario viable de 43 ítems para el propósito de investigación. Se establecieron seis hipótesis para probar correlación significativa entre los factores del modelo, se utilizaron los estadísticos Chi-cuadrada y Spearman. El estudio se realizó en 74 pequeñas empresas.
RESULTADOS: Los resultados evidenciaron empíricamente deficiencia en la aplicación de las características que componen la cultura de innovación en las empresas participantes. Desde la perspectiva correlacional, los cuatro factores del modelo mostraron asociación significativa positiva entre ellos.
CONCLUSIONES: Ante la fuerte correlación entre los factores del modelo, se concluyó que son rasgos esenciales para desarrollarse en organizaciones interesadas en incrementar niveles de productividad y competitividad, mediante la construcción de una cultura que impulse la innovación en sus procesos y servicios.
