RESUMEN En el presente artículo, se presenta en un primer apartado la definición de estado para tener una idea más precisa de lo que se hablará. Posteriormente, se discuten las posturas sobre debilitamiento y del fortalecimiento del estado para tener un entendimiento más claro de la posición que este ente tan importante tiene en el escenario internacional, pero sobretodo en el nacional; esto es, ¿en el contexto de globalización, qué tanto el estado sigue siendo el que define y conduce la economía y la política nacional como tradicionalmente lo había hecho? ABSTRACT In order to have a more precise idea about the topic of this article, a definition of the state is given to start. Then, standpoints about the weakening and the strengthening of the state are shown so that there is a better comprehension about the position that this important entity has in the international setting, but overall in the national scenario. This is, in the context of the globalization, how big is the influence of the state to define and lead the national economy and politics as traditionally it had done?Downloads
