ANÁLISIS FACTORIAL Y ECONOMÍA: UN MODELO MACROECONÓMICO PARA MÉXICO

Objetivo: Condensar la información contenida en 35 indicadores de la actividad económica de México, para determinar un nuevo conjunto de indicadores resumidos de la misma, que permitan predecir las posibles dificultades del escenario económico en cada momento, así como de su evolución futura.
Material y Métodos: Se aplican las técnicas del Análisis Factorial y del Análisis de Componentes Principales a series de 35 indicadores de variables económicas mexicanas, correspondientes a los años 2002 y 2003.
Resultados: Se logró condensar la información de los 35 indicadores anteriormente mencionados en 3 factores: Bienestar y Salud, Migración y Diversión y Macroeconómicos.
Conclusiones: Los 3 factores reducidos determinados en el estudio, simplificarían notablemente posteriores análisis del escenario económico mexicano, así como la realización de predicciones acerca del comportamiento del mismo.
