LA SATISFACCIÓN DE LOS ESTUDIANTES CON SU CARRERA Y SU RELACIÓN CON EL PROMEDIO Y EL SEXO. EL CASO DE LA CARRERA DE CONTADURÍA DE LA UNIVERSIDAD VERACRUZANA EN NOGALES, VERACRUZ

Objetivo: Establecer si el sexo de los estudiantes y el promedio escolar a lo largo de la carrera se encuentran relacionados con su satisfacción escolar.
Material y Métodos: Se recabaron, mediante un cuestionario, las características de 160 alumnos del último semestre de la carrera de Contaduría de la Facultad de Contaduría y Administración de la Universidad Veracruzana en Nogales, Ver. Además, se obtuvieron los registros oficiales para calcular su promedio escolar durante los ocho semestres de la carrera.
Resultados: En algunas investigaciones se ha señalado que las mujeres se encuentran más satisfechas al estudiar una carrera universitaria y obtienen mejores notas; sin embargo, en el presente trabajo las variables sexo y promedio Escolar no resultaron ser significativas en su relación con la satisfacción con la carrera. Otro interés radicó en comprobar la hipótesis de que las mujeres obtienen mejores promedios, como se ha encontrado también en múltiples pesquisas.
Conclusiones: Los resultados obtenidos pueden servir para fincar estrategias en las instituciones educativas.
