LA INTELIGENCIA EMOCIONAL Y LA DOCENCIA EN LAS INSTITUCIONES DE EDUCACIÓN SUPERIOR
Abstract
El término de inteligencia, ha tomado una gran importancia entre los temas de actualidad, al intentar identificar los factores determinantes para lograr el éxito en la vida; sus primeras investigaciones fueron realizadas por psicólogos, quienes originalmente se enfocaron a espectos cognitivos, como la memoria y resolución de problemas. Pero hace dos mil años, los grandes filósofos ya iniciaban la búsqueda de los elementos que explicaro lo que era la inteligencia. Sin embargo, por un largo periodo de esos dos milenios, se consideró que la única inteligencia existente dentor del hombre, era la razón. Conocida también como intelecto o Coeficiente Intelectual (CI). En cuanto a las emociones, el pensamiento común, sostenía que éstas se tenían que mantener fuera del camino, de ese modo el hombre podía tomar adecuadas decisiones y estar ubicado en lo correcto. En las últimas décadas, una gran gama de investigaciones han probado lo contrario.
