La innovación en la Educación Superior

Las instituciones de educación superior en México, se encuentran inmersa en un proceso de continua transformación, en donde se requiere dar respuesta a las necesidades que las problemáticas sociales y humanas plantean.
Uno de tantos retos que las universidades de hoy enfrentan lo constituye la innovación, la cual exige cambios permanentes en sus estructuras. Por lo que se requiere que las Instituciones de Educación Superior (IES) den inicio a procesos de cambio institucional para estar en sintonía con las grandes transformaciones que se están dando a nivel global.
Las funciones de la universidad deben de adquirir una nueva dimensión frente a la revolución social, tecnológica, cultural y política que se está gestando. Ante este panorama y considerando que uno de los propósitos fundamentales de los sistemas educativos de cara al siglo XXI, es encontrar los medios que favorezcan su calidad; se hace pertinente repensar las estrategias de redimensionamiento de la universidad con base a las potencialidades de la comunicación
que permitan conceptualizar a las IES como verdaderas organizaciones de éste.
