OBJETIVO: Realizar una aproximación al estudio de la infraestructura de información comunicación y tecnología, sistemas de innovación y capacidad emprendedora en las entidades que integran la región Sur del Estado de Hidalgo. MATERIAL Y MÉTODO: Se realizó una adaptación a la metodología del Banco Mundial que integra las características fundamentales para calcular la economía del conocimiento: infraestructura tecnológica en materia de comunicación que permita la transferencia de conocimiento entre los sectores, el capital humano. RESULTADOS: El alcance de la infraestructura tecnológica, así como la provisión de acceso a internet, la disponibilidad de equipos telefónicos y de cómputo en la población, continúa siendo limitada y heterogénea en su distribución, por lo que es posible inferir la limitada interconexión y el acceso a oportunidades de intercambio conocimiento e información, no solo al interior del país, sino también con el exterior. CONCLUSIONES: Los hallazgos pueden ser de utilidad y tener implicaciones importantes para el desarrollo de políticas empresariales de tal forma que permita a las autoridades gubernamentales plantear estrategias para incrementar la cobertura en infraestructura de información, fortalecer la capacidad emprendedora e incidir en generar mayor innovación a nivel nacional.Downloads
