OBJECTIVE: To analyze sociodemographic factors and their relationship with job satisfaction among employees in telecommunications companies.
MATERIAL AND METHOD: A quantitative approach was used, with a descriptive and correlational level, and a non-experimental cross-sectional design. Questionnaires were administered to a population of 200 employees from telecommunications companies.
RESULTS: Sociodemographic factors showed a selective relationship with job satisfaction, with years of experience showing the strongest correlation (Rho = .254).
CONCLUSIONS: Of the seven dimensions of the sociodemographic factors variable, only four (gender, age, type of contract, and years of experience) showed statistically significant relationships with the job satisfaction variable.
