OBJECTIVE: To design a theoretical-methodological conception for the training of tourism personnel in technological knowledge management, supported by a training ecosystem that integrates technological, pedagogical, and organizational dimensions within the context of the Hotel and Tourism Schools (EHT) of Cuba.
MATERIAL AND METHOD: A qualitative approach was adopted, using the systematization of experiences as the general method. The research was conducted between 2023 and 2026 at the Villa Clara EHT and its Tourism Information and Documentation Center (Cidtur). In-depth interviews, participant observation, surveys, and documentary analysis were applied for the diagnostic assessment.
RESULTS: The diagnostic assessment revealed low connectivity, an outdated repository, an inactive newsletter, and limited use of services. An ecosystem was designed comprising five components and guided by principles such as network socialization, mediated externalization, social construction, sustainability, and interoperability. Validation yielded satisfactory results: mean scores above 4.5 out of 5 and coefficients of variation below 0.15 across all evaluated dimensions, complemented by a qualitative analysis confirming credibility, internal consistency, transferability, contextual relevance, confirmability, and dependability.
CONCLUSIONS: The conception is relevant and feasible; it transforms professional training by transcending the traditional model and promotes the co-creation of knowledge using digital technologies.
